Well I was
hoping to do more in posting on how my salad chat has been going but as so far have had to buy all my salad
stuff rather than grow and eat what you have grown your self
I decided
until the green house was up were the only real space for growing is as David
is not that willing for me to bring soil into the house
I did try
using the tilly room just by the back door but it is rather cold and nothing
has grown I think it would have been alright if my heated propagator had not
got damaged in the move so saving up for a new one I have 3 or 4 unheated ones
but even they did not seem to work in the tilly room ether which is a shame I even put one in my
cold frame thinking have it double insulated it they might germinate
but no they did not so if you been reading my blogs on both
Wordpress and blogger you will of seen we have the frame up of the greenhouse up
just waiting for a dry day to see how
many of the old glass we took down we can reuse or need to buy new from GLASS SUPPLIER
I am going to
make one bed down one side of the greenhouse for my salads and tomatoes and
other quick growing crops once the glass
is in place
I been
looking at food for free like dandelions
nettle’s that do grow in our garden but David is not that keen to try which I think is a
great shame when it does not cost a penny to go out into the
garden and pick the chickens enjoy them as well which adds to their diet as quick
snack during the day
