I have been surprised

Since watching my female blue tit during the evening at the different ways she lays

Sometimes her head is facing the bottom of the bird box like in this snap shot I took

I know we humans turn from side to side but did not realise that the garden birds do something similar I thought that they just perched on a brunch of a tree but I suppose it different when you’re sitting in a nest box on some eggs

I have been very interested and cannot wait to save up for some more camera nest boxes

If I had the confidence I would try and put a camera in my no camera nest boxes that I currently have the one I would really love to have one in is my little red chalet one but my husband David thinks it’s too small to put one in

I will have to put my trail cam out and see if anything is going into the one below but did see a great tit the other day come out of the red chalet so might put rover one on and see if we can see any coming and goings

I have in all 10 next boxes around my garden the dove cote houses six pairs when any bird takes up residence in it but no sign so far

the next box is just the other side of this shed you can see

I am thinking of taking this wooden triangle down above the feeding station encase any small bird would like to live in it but not sure if ti would be a good idea ?

If I did that would make 11 nest boxes so far
the female  blue tit has been spending more time to day on the nest to day compared to yesterday when she was out for most of the day and we have 5 eggs now
