BLOCKING HATTIES ECAPE ROUTES

Well over the weekend my Bassett hound escape  not far but far enough into next doors front drive way but she stayed closed to the hedge so I could not see her I had my lovely man upstairs as he  was off colour.

As it was a nice day I took my coffee and a mag outside and the dogs were out too chocolate the springer and Bess the Labrador then I realised Hattie was missing no were in the garden so I started to look around and call like you do

But no were was she to be found

So I got the other two into the house and fetch her lead and went to try and find her so  my man come downstairs  and went one way  I went the other way  luckily my man found her  and got her back into the house  then I came back

So today I went looking to see how she was getting out and the old owner down one side of the garden had put a little fence up and was putting his grass clippings the other side of it and part of the fence had fallen down so I pulled the fence back up and hammered the post back in so it standing up again  at one end I have put some old tyres sideways on to stop her going down there and blocked the gap hopefully with 3 of my empty compost bins and I turned my other 3 I have 7 compost bins in all  still working out were I will put them for their final site

I currently have 2 full compost bins and one halfway full and I dampen them down  as well  to encourage decomposition  so I might be able to use some on my raised beds when they are made

When my hubby is well enough to help me

I also sowed some basil in a medium pot and put in my cold frame for now and made 3 little plantlets out of my curly parsley and also put them in my cold frame

I was going to empty my feed store shed were I keep my wild bird seed and try and move the shed on my own as it made of metal but I might have to see if any of the farm workers across at the farm will kindly give me  a hand tomorrow all being well ?

Out of batteries to take photos
