DAVID FOUND SOME YARROW ONLINE
After watching the new programme BRITISHWILDLIFE REVARVAL on
BBC2
Yarrow is one of the bees and butterfly favourite flowers
and other insects too
So I be looking to see these flowers do once their germinate
and what the other insect go and visit the flowers when
they flower
I
HAD TO MOVE MY HEDGEHOG HOME AS I REALISED A SHRUB WAS TRYING TO GROW
UNDERNEATH IT
So
I moved it just next to the shrub that wants to grow near it and this time I
have coved it in woodchipings and just
left the opening and I was quite surprised at all the different insects
crawling over the woodchips which hopefully should enough the hedgehogs
since the other night I have not seen any sign and with only been
allowed to put water out until I got a feeding station up and running that the
dogs can not get David will not let me put any food out what so every which is driving me mad as he will not let me
use his tools and I do not have anyone else I can ask to help as I can only pay
in tea and cake at present .
I
get frustrated when others get in the way of my wildlife and projects when I
want to do so much to help them if only I had a magic wand and say hay presto .
What
gets me mad I have things laying around that I could use to make it .

ON SATURDAY WE WENT TO SANDRINGHAM COUNRTY AND GAME SHOW
This was just one of the events we watch we also watch some dog agility which was very fun to watch from small dogs to big German shepherd dogs
their were really fast indeed if I was given out rose sets I would of given them all first ones
then I found someone selling some spring bulbs some I came home with 20 of Quail daffodils bulbs and 20 Gaoja tulip bulbs
Then on Sunday we called in to our local supermarket and I just had to have two lots of these 20 pansy mixed Ocean
and 20 Autumn dream which I have planted out one in a wall container by one of my sheds and the other in a hanging basket by the wood shed and workshop
over the last couple of days some small birds have been going in and out of our dovecote holes and a open nest box I am trying work out how I can put my trailcam up opposite so I can see both boxes
I managed in-between the rain to clean one of my nest boxes I just have four more to do
I am sure all the garden plants and veggies will be enjoying the rain but do not forget your greenhouse that might need a drink as well as putting up some winter protection like fleeces or bubble wrap to help keep it a little bit warmer as winter draws close
and if you do not already feed your garden birds then this is the time to start now as natural recourses start to disappear and the ground gets harder to peck for worms always leave fresh water out for any wildlife that might pass by your garden or allotment
enjoy the rest of the week
until next time

CRESS I MANAGED TO GROW IT THE OLD FASHION WAY
Last time I tried to grow it in soil it did not work at all
so a couple of days ago I put some kitchen towel in a swallow plastic dish and sowed some cress
seed and as you can see it growing nicely
So I think I will always keep to this way in future.
Unless someone twist my arm to try another way?
It has rain here today which the garden as greatly enjoyed
and I have open the lids of my compost bins too just add to helping the processes
of making compost
Hope you enjoy the weekend whatever you are up too

# Seedypenpals update on my seeds I sowed from Lorraine
Today I spotted the first signs of germination from my
rocket that I sowed a little while ago
That came in my lovely parcel from Lorraine but so far no
show on my salad leaves Italian mix
But I am sure they will soon
The birds are creeping back more each day to the garden
which is pleasing to see
There is plenty of shelter along with food and fresh water
for them all I have two water stations in the front garden and four in the back
garden
The weather has just been a wee bit too hot for me today but
it is nice do not get me wrong when there
is no breezes it’s hard to garden as the
non-gardener keeps saying stop work do it later so I give in and have a nice coffee instead
enjoy the rest of the week
